As some of you may have noticed I've declined to speak at this autumn's virtual worlds conferences in London. This actually has nothing to do with supporting one over the other or that I'm backing off from this whole area. Quite the opposite. We're doing some really cool stuff in virtual worlds but that will be a better story for another conference season. In the meantime please go to these conferences if you really want to understand the value of virtual worlds to the enterprise. To my mind the platforms have moved on a lot in a year and the possibilities are really only now becoming realities. With the credit crunch biting, what better time to start using virtual worlds to stay at least semi-connected. I'll be helping the Virtual Worlds Forum conference along in the next few days as an advisor so hopefully see you all there.
